Kinabalu, Malaysia, March 14, 2025 – Grand China Travel officially launched its direct charter flight service from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia to Zhangjiajie on March 14, 2025, in collaboration with Batik Air Malaysia, operating once a week every Thursday using a Boeing 737-800NG fleet. The opening of this route is a strategic step in expanding international air connectivity and strengthening tourism cooperation between Malaysia and China.
Flights to Zhangjiajie, China depart from BKI (Kota Kinabalu International Airport) on flight OD8628 at 19:15 (local time) and arrive at DYG (Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport), China at 23:30 (local time). Conversely, the flight from Zhangjiajie is scheduled to depart at 12:30 a.m. (local time) on flight OD8629 and arrive in Malaysia at 4:50 a.m. (local time).
This inaugural flight marks Grand China Travel's commitment to providing easier and more efficient travel access for international tourists, especially for the Chinese tourism market, which has a high interest in natural and cultural destinations in the Asian region.
The Kota Kinabalu – Zhangjiajie route is operated as a charter flight with the hope of increasing tourist traffic, expanding opportunities for cooperation in the tourism industry, and contributing positively to the economic growth of both regions. Zhangjiajie is known as one of China's leading tourist destinations with world-renowned natural beauty, while Kota Kinabalu is one of Malaysia's main gateways for tourism.
The launch of this inaugural Kota Kinabalu–Zhangjiajie charter flight is expected to further strengthen Southeast Asia's position as an international tourism hub and open up new opportunities for the development of other charter routes in the future.

Riasari Prasetyawati, an Indonesian citizen, was born in 1978. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Mercu Buana University in 2013.
Serving as Corporate Secretary of the Company since 2025, responsible for all compliance with applicable regulations in Indonesia and good corporate governance.
Previously, he worked at PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk from 2009 to 2024 and has more than 15 years of experience in corporate governance and secretarial affairs.
Director of Operations
Yunita Widjaja, an Indonesian citizen, was born in 1967. She obtained a diploma from the Tarakanita Secretarial Academy in 1988.
Serving as the Company's Chief Operating Officer since 2023.
Previously, she served as Senior Manager at PT Wisata Dewa (2021-2023) and General Manager at PT Bayu Buana Tbk. (1988-2020).

Khoe Ting Tjen, an Indonesian citizen, was born in 1970. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Literature from Ji Nan University in 1994.
She has been working in the Company for approximately 5 years. Previously he served as Director of PT Kemilau Cahaya Lestari (2013-2018), and was the Owner of Xin Xin Bu Xi Ban (2012-2015).
